CardstockSafety pins Wire Hangers--preferred-- Wire hangers may be found at any dry cleaner, usually for free or purchase them at the Dollar store/Walmart. You will not get the hangers back. Clear packing tape (for attaching tags on items necessary)Ziploc bags (for items with more than one part)PREPARING ITEMS
All items must be clean and without stains Wash all clothing, bedding, cloth toys Wipe down all toys Remove dirt from shoes, etc. Inspect all items for stains, rips, tears, damage Make sure all parts of items are included Manuals/instructions are always helpfulPRICING
You must price in $1.00 increments. How you price your items is up to you. The best advice I can give is consider what YOU would pay if you were buying something used. If you are going to donate your items anyway, we recommend that you do discount your item for the last day of the sale.Your items will successfully sell if they are appropriately priced.CLOTHING
The minimum price on clothing is $1.00. You can combine items together on one hanger if needed Clothing must be sorted by size and gender before you bring them to the sale. Banding them together with rubber bands is helpful. Only in-season clothing is acceptedSpring - only Spring/Summer clothing accepted - no heavy coats, fleece, sweaters, etc. (Jeans, slacks, light jackets, hoodies and costumes ARE ACCEPTABLE to consign in the Spring Sale.) Fall - only Fall/Winter clothing accepted - no shorts, water shoes or sleeveless garments accepted.
HOW TO TAG YOUR CLOTHING
Use wire hangers. Put the tag on the upper right shoulder. Hanger should look like a ?
Safety pin the pants to the TOP of the wire hanger - they will not slide off the hanger!
SHOES
All shoes must be cleaned top and bottom--Shoes showing too much wear and tear will be rejected. Do NOT place shoes in their boxes or in plastic bags - they must be affixed together somehow-zip ties work great Tags easily get ripped off shoes. Therefore, we recommend "laminating" your tag with packing tape before you affix the tag to your shoes - that way the tag won't be easily ripped off.TOYS
TOYS MUST HAVE ALL PARTSToys that require batteries must have working batteries. If the toys have loose parts, secure these extra parts in a plastic bag and securely tape them to the main toy. Tape your product information tag securely to the toy so that it cannot be torn off easily by the customer.BOOKS
Children’s books and parenting books are accepted. We recommend that books are placed in ziplock bags. Tape the tag on the outside of the bag and tape the bag closed so the book cannot be removed.LINENS
All linens must be placed in large plastic zippered storage bags.BABY/KID EQUIPMENT (E.G. STROLLERS, BOUNCERS, EXERSAUCERS, ETC.)
Instruction manuals are always helpful - include them when you can. Ensure everything is clean. We recommend clear packing tape to affix your tag to your item.ANYTHING PUT IN A PLASTIC BAG
Affix the product tag to the outside of the plastic bag. Securely tape over the top of the plastic bag so that no one can open and remove any items from the plastic bag.1/2 PRICE SATURDAY
